"Where Tradition Meets Innovation"
WithIn the drop down menus for each product we have listed a variety of sizes and material species which address over 90% of situations. If you know what you need but do not see it listed, please click on the Custom Shop tab for options. If you're just a little unsure of the appropriate size, we offer some suggestions below.
The rosette block should be at least as wide as, and even a little wider than, your casing. How much wider is a matter of preference, but we suggest 1/4" for narrow casing and up to 1/2" for the wider trim. This difference is usually divided equally on each side of the casing, but some prefer to offset it all to the outside. Click on the Installation tab for more information.
Although width is important, the depth is equally as critical. The corner mouldings must project (stick out) beyond the face of the casing. How much so is dependant upon the style of the moulding(s). Our Traditional rosettes have a squared edge without any "routing" and need only be slightly thicker than the casing in order to project, whereas the Contemporary mouldings have edge details applied to them and must be at least 3/16" thicker than the trim to allow for the "routing". We list some of the more common sizes in the drop down menus, which will cover most situations, but if your casing or base require something special we will be happy to accommodate. Provide the width and thickness of your trim in the comments as you complete your order and we will make sure that it works.
