Where Tradition Meets Innovation"
The pediment (a.k.a. crosshead, door header, mantel, etc.) is the ultimate statement for any door or window opening. These items must be taylored to your specifications, so we will need to know the width of each opening plus the width of the casing, and reveal, to establish the finished length of each crosshead. For best appearance the crosshead height should be approximately 1-1/2 times the width of the casing; 3-3/4" for 2-1/2" casing, 4-7/8" for 3-1/4" casing, 6" for 4" casing, and so on. Thickness should be 1/4" greater than your trim depth. We can accommodate any size casing and nearly any material species. Paint grade poplar is priced below.

Pricing will be pro-rated to the inch. The prices shown above are valid for up to the length shown for each width and depth.
We can also provide matching plinth blocks and base corners.

Classical plinth blocks and baseboard corners carry the same edge detail as our crossheads so you can maintain the same accents throughout the rest of the house. For pricing, see our Traditional plinth blocks and base corners on the Products page of the website.
